Diego Gardo is a cinematographer living and working in Berlin.

He grew up in a working-class neighbourhood on the outskirts of Madrid. In the late 2000s he took his first steps into art through the underground graffiti scene that covered the walls of his streets. It was there that he recognised art's potential to transform reality — and from that point, the interest turned into telling visual stories rooted in lived experience.

Largely self-taught, he has spent the past years dividing his work between music videos, fashion, narrative film and commercial projects.
